Homemade Ranch Dressing

Homemade Ranch Dressing
Spread for me 😋

I mean, is there any condiment more American than ranch dressing? It makes veggies taste good, pizza taste better, and it belongs as a dip to mostly anything fried. I’m sure you can also use it in other ways, if you’re into that freaky shit. We love it from a bottle, but have you ever made your own?!

I first did when I lived in France and simply couldn’t find it. It’s easier to make than you think and, believe it or not, tastes SO MUCH BETTER!!! Like, night and day. There’s something to say about fresh herbs here cause they really are the stars of the dip. And that little French kiss of lemon zest majorly brightens things up. There will always be a place on our fridge door for bottled ranch, but after trying this you’ll find yourself often making your own.

Notes

JUST THE TIPS!
1.) Set up your ‘mis en place.’ This means do what the recipe tells you to do to the individual ingredients, measure them out, and then place them in separate little bowls/dishes/what-have-you. When it’s time to build the recipe, you have everything measured and ready to go. It makes the entire process so much easier and more enjoyable!
2.) Adding the lemon zest will give the Ranch a brightness that can’t be found in bottled dressings.
3.) These ingredients need to marry, so the longer they sit, the better it’s going to taste. As with any combo of chilled/room temp ingredients (especially when adding salt), you need to let the dish rest for some time before you taste and adjust.
69.) OMG DID YOU MAKE THIS?!?
